LONDON (15 dicembre 2023) – SQUARE ENIX® ha trasmetto oggi il SaGa Glimmerfest 2023 34th Anniversary Livestream, durante il quale i membri del team di sviluppo hanno annunciato che SaGa Emerald Beyond, la nuova avventura originale dell'acclamata serie di GdR, uscirà il 25 aprile 2024 in digitale per Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5 (PS5®), PlayStation®4 (PS4®), PC (STEAM®) e dispositivi iOS e Android.

Oltre alla data di uscita, durante lo streaming sono stati trattati approfonditamente gli eclettici eroi di SaGa Emerald Beyond e le loro storie. Il Produttore della serie SaGa Masanori Ichikawa, il direttore generale della serie Akitoshi Kawazu e il direttore della localizzazione Neal Broadley hanno presentato due personaggi fondamentali di SaGa Emerald Beyond, dotati della rara capacità di vedere le misteriose Emerald Wave che offrono scelte del proprio destino: Tsunanori Mido e Ameya Aisling.
Tsunanori discende dall'illustre famiglia Mido, dotata della capacità unica di controllare le marionette kugutsu, che utilizza per completare incarichi di ogni genere. Tsunanori si unisce al progetto Cathedral, formato da un gruppo di esploratori che indagano su altri mondi, con l'obiettivo di riparare la barriera indebolita della sua città e di recuperare l'energia spirituale perduta.

Sotto la falsa identità della studentessa Yumeha Izumi di Miyako City, Ameya è in realtà una strega di Pulchra a cui sono stati sottratti i poteri. Seguendo le misteriose Emerald Wave, Ameya spera di scoprire chi le ha sottratto il mana e di diventare la migliore strega mai vista.

Il team ha anche presentato una nuova illustrazione con il cast completo dei protagonisti di SaGa Emerald Beyond. Altre immagini, disponibili qui, mostrano delle battaglie e alcuni nemici di Tsunanori e Ameya.
I giocatori ansiosi di imbarcarsi in questa nuova avventura possono aggiungere il gioco alla propria lista dei desideri per Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 e Steam, in modo da ricevere una notifica all'apertura dei pre-ordini, in programma per l'anno prossimo.
SaGa Emerald Beyond sarà il nuovo capitolo del progetto SaGa Project di SQUARE ENIX, che finora ha portato all'uscita in Occidente di Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered, Romancing SaGa 3, SaGa SCARLET GRACE: AMBITIONS, il popolare gioco mobile Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe e SaGa Frontier Remastered. SaGa Emerald Beyond non è ancora stato classificato dalla ESRB.
